Michael war gerade einmal 3 Jahre alt, als uns ein Hilferuf von seiner Mutter erreichte.
Was war geschehen?
Michael spielte vor der Hütte und setzte sich mit seinem nackten Po auf eine noch heisse zum abkühlen hingestellte Aluminium Pfanne. Dabei verbrannte er sich das Gesäss. Da die Mutter bei der Arbeit war und die verantwortliche Person nicht rechtzeitig reagierte dauerte es sehr lange bis er ins Spital gebracht wurde.
“a drop in the ocean” übernahm die Heilungskosten für Michael.
Vielfach bekommt man keine oder nur unzulängliche ärztliche Hilfe wenn kein Geld für Medikamente und Behandlungsmaterial vorhanden ist.

What happened?
Michael played in front of the hut and sat with his naked butt on a hot aluminium pan, left outside to cool down, and seriously burned his buttocks. Since the mother was at work and the responsible person did not react in time, therefore he had to wait quite long until he was taken to the hospital.
The project “a drop in the ocean” took over the healing costs for Michael. Often there is no or only inadequate medical care, if no money for medication and treatment material is available.
